Operations Coordinator
Washington Electric Cooperative, a not-for-profit electric distribution organization in Marietta, Ohio, seeks candidates for a full-time operations coordinator position.
This position supports the operations department and assists with providing quality and reliable electric service to Washington Electric member-consumers.
Responsibilities include answering member questions related to their electric service, handling incoming calls related to new electrical services, service upgrades, service retirements, facility relocations, and disconnect/reconnect for service repair. The operations coordinator will schedule field appointments for the operations department to perform construction and/or maintenance activities, and coordinate with the engineering department regarding work submitted by the engineering department to be completed. Additional responsibilities include assisting with obtaining recorded right-of-way easements, obtaining permits, and managing OUPs tickets.
The operations coordinator will assist with answering the radio during normal working hours, and will perform on-call dispatching duties outside of normal working hours on a rotation with other dispatchers.
This position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalency. An associate’s degree in a related topic is preferred. Three years’ office/administrative experience required, with five years in electrical utility or directly related field is preferred.
