Kaylie McCutcheon, a local student with strong ties to the community, has been awarded a $1,900 scholarship through the Ohio's Electric Cooperatives Children of Members Scholarship competition.
McCutcheon, the daughter of ___, was sponsored by Washington Electric Cooperative. She is a senior at Waterford High School.
This scholarship program reflects the commitment of Ohio's Electric Cooperatives to supporting local students and investing in the future of the communities they serve. Each year, students from cooperative families across the state compete for scholarship awards that help them pursue higher education and career goals.
A total of 24 students -- each representing one of Ohio's electric distribution cooperatives -- advanced from local competitions to the statewide contest, where $56,100 in scholarships were awarded.
