Washington Electric Cooperative, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Journeyman Lineworker.
This position is responsible for the construction, maintenance, repair, and removal of electric transmission and distribution lines. The successful candidate will also assist with the construction, maintenance, repair, and removal of substations, reclosers, sectionalizers, and other related electric utility equipment.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Lineworker certification or equivalent experience
- CDL Class A license with a clean driving record
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms
- Ability to work safely and comply with all company safety policies and procedures
Successful completion of pre-employment and random drug testing requirements
Physical and Job Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work additional hours as needed, including overtime
- Ability to respond to outages and emergency situations on short notice
- Ability to participate in and meet all requirements of the cooperative’s on-call rotation
