Each February Washington Electric provides high-school seniors who are the son or daughter of Co-op members with scholarship applications. The Cooperative awards five scholarships each year, and first-place winners have the opportunity to compete for additional awards at the statewide level. Call our office for more details.

Youth Tour
High-school sophomores and juniors may compete in March for two awards of a six-day all-expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C. The students must be the children of a Co-op member. On this trip, which takes place in June each year, students tour the Capitol and meet their Congressional representatives while enjoying many of the fascinating sights of our nation's capital? Children of Members Scholarship
This program offers four scholarship awards to eligible children of Washington Electric Cooperative members. A prize of $1,000 each is awarded to the first-place boy and girl winners. The second-place boy and girl will receive $500. In addition, first-place winners advance to the statewide scholarship competition conducted by Ohio Rural Electric Cooperatives Inc., where students from throughout the state will compete for a total of $24,800 in scholarship awards.

Touchstone Energy® Achievement Scholarship
The Touchstone Energy® Achievement Scholarship is a $750 award presented to the son or daughter of a Washington Electric Cooperative member who best reflects the Touchstone Energy core values of accountability, integrity, innovation and commitment to community, as well as their drive and dedication to achieving a college education despite any personal obstacles or special challenges they've faced.
The Washington Electric Cooperative winner will also advance to the statewide competition conducted by Ohio Rural Electric Cooperatives, Inc., which will present four $1,700 awards this year.
